Jackson State University High School Day attendees will have the chance to meet faculty, staff and current students from various departments, explore the university’s innovative academic programs, and experience the unique and lively campus culture that makes JSU a home away from home. A series of engaging workshops and panels will provide insight into the university’s academic excellence, student support services, and scholarship opportunities. Meanwhile, guided tours will allow prospective students to witness the campus’s energy and commitment to student success.

By showcasing its dynamic community, high-impact academic programs and rich legacy, JSU aims to make High School Day an inspiring experience that encourages students to envision their future as part of the Tiger family.

JSU High School Day.

Jackson State University’s High School Day is a vibrant annual event designed to welcome high school students from across the country to explore the heart of Tiger Nation. This exciting day is all about giving prospective students a firsthand experience of life at JSU — from academics to campus culture.

High school students from across the country are invited to attend. JSU partners with local schools and organizations to ensure wide participation, creating a diverse and energetic experience for all involved.

Early Bird Registration | September 1–30, 2026
$20 non-refundable registration fee per person | $5 Roaring Loud T-shirt

Regular Registration | October 1–November 3, 2026
$25 non-refundable registration fee per person | $10 Roaring Loud T-shirt

Day-of Registration | November 6, 2026
$30 non-refundable registration fee per person | $15 Roaring Loud T-shirt

What is the deadline for online registration?

Online registration closes on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at 4:30 p.m.

Missed the online deadline? Walk-in registration will be available on Friday, November 6, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. at the Lee E. Williams Athletics and Assembly Center (AAC). The day-of registration fee is $30 per person, with the option to purchase a Roaring Loud T-shirt for an additional $15.

When and how will I receive my registration package?

Registration packages will not be mailed. Please pick up your package during one of the following times:

Thursday, November 5, 2026 | 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. | Office of Undergraduate Recruitment, 1342 West Pearl Street, Jackson, MS

Can someone else pick up my package for me?

Yes! Email roaringloud@jsums.edu with the name of the person who will pick up your package. They will need to show identification and sign for the package.
